What is Microcement? True Microcement (Politura) vs Epoxy Microcement (Errelab)2023-01-23T12:27:08+00:00

Microcement is a decorative coating composed of cement, water-based resins, additives and mineral pigments or epoxy resin that can be applied on a multitude of vertical and horizontal surfaces thanks to its great adherence. This construction material stands out because it is applied directly onto existing materials: tiles, plasterboard, floor tiles, plaster.

  • Politura – The NEW quartz-based technology behind Politura microcement is the most advanced in the market place in terms of durability and ease of application. Extremely hard wearing, easy to apply and incredibly versatile.

Politura is manufactured from Quartz sand with a Mohs hardness of 7.

  • Errelab – Composed of an amine resin in an aqueous vehicle (part A) and an epoxy resin in an aqueous emulsion (part B). Available as a neutral base. The composite allows to create coatings with a high mechanical resistance. It hardens in the presence of humidity and is highly permeable.
